Established in 1998, Soho Gem's first fine jewelry boutique opened its doors in SoHo, the trendy shopping Mecca of Manhattan. With a unique selection of delicate, feminine designs and colorful, dramatic creations success was instant. One year later, a second store opened on Madison Avenue, a street renowned for its luxury shopping. The next natural step was to launch this beautiful on-line shop in 2007, long awaited by devoted customers from all over the country.

The duo behind Soho Gem are sisters Maria Benavides and Irina Ferry. Descending from a heritage in antiques and fine jewelry they have an innate feel for art and a passion for beauty. With contrasting backgrounds; Irina, an actress and designer, and Maria, a marketing executive, joined forces to carry on the family tradition. Complementing each other, the synergy of their talents and business finesse has made Soho Gem an established landmark in New York's fine jewelry arena.

Soho Gem has carved out a niche in the bridal market by offering spectacular engagement rings and delicate wedding bands to the most sophisticated and savvy brides. With extensive diamond expertise, Irina personally guides clients through the process of diamond selection and custom design during private appointments at the SoHo location. Customers can choose from a selection of settings designed in-house or by top designers such as John Apel, Ritani and Saturn.
